Monday reports Danish TV 2 that several children at a school in Denmark have been exposed to abuse by fellow pupils.
TV 2 refers to medical documents which state that several children between the ages of six and eleven have been exposed to threats, violence and sexual abuse by a peer group of children at school for approximately two years.
The episodes are said to have started back in 2021. It was only when one of the children at the school told her parents that she thought she had a baby in her womb in December 2022 that the events came to light.
– Threatened with life
The child is said to have been subjected to rape by a fellow student of the same age, and threatened with his life. This led to the child waiting a long time to tell about what happened at school.
The children who are behind the abuses still go to school.
Confirms: Several on the farm
According to TV 2’s information, the “cross-border behaviour” involves everything from threats to life, threats with a knife, serious violence with an iron pipe, and sexual assault.
Danish police have been informed about the case, but due to the children’s young age, it is the social authorities who are working to solve the case.
Parents in shock over measures
We are talking about a small group of students, who create fear among their fellow students. Parents are in shock at the school’s handling of the case.
The school management has tried to solve the problems for a period by introducing “pee buddies”, that the pupils had to go to the toilet in pairs, as well as supervision by adults during recess and reading periods. The solution fired up 75 furious parents, who believe that the measures are not good enough.
– It hurts
In a joint letter to the school management and the Danish municipality, they now express concern for the children’s safety and demand new measures.
– We are genuinely concerned, and we cannot tolerate/accept that our children are not safe at school. We must strongly ask the school’s management to take all measures possible to secure our children against such serious crimes that have been going on at the school for more than a year, the letter says, among other things.

The school in question has responded to TV 2’s inquiry in the matter, where they believe that parents can now send their children to school safely. That perception is not shared by many of the children’s parents.
The Danish newspaper has spoken to seven parents of children at the primary school and read about the cases in medical records, hospital notes, messages to social authorities and correspondence with the relevant municipality.
