TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – One of the diseases that often appears during the rainy season is acute respiratory infections or ARIs such as flu.
This is due to the cooler temperatures in the rainy season, creating friendly conditions for the virus and making it more contagious.
Flu is a disease that is considered trivial because it is considered the same as the common cold or the common cold. Though both are caused by different types of viruses.

The flu itself is caused by a virus influenza, which can lead to dangerous complications such as pneumonia and even death.
Chairman of the Indonesia Influenza Foundation (IIF) Prof. dr. Cissy B Kartasasmita, SpA(K), PhD said someone who has the flu usually experiences symptoms of fever above 37.8 degrees Celsius, cough, and runny nose.
“Although the symptoms are the same, a cold or a cold is actually different from the flu. Many think that the two diseases are the same. In fact, the flu is caused by a virus. influenza, if the cold is a different virus. Both occur as a result of urinary tract infection
acute respiratory distress,” said Cissy in her statement, Tuesday (11/23/2021).
Cissy said children are more susceptible to this disease because the risk of transmission can reach 30 percent, or higher than adults who only have a 5-10 percent chance.
Parents are asked to increase their awareness of the health of their children, especially during the rainy season, which is currently still shrouded in the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, if something unexpected happens, parents are expected not to panic easily when their child suddenly has a fever.
