The aim of KiFaZ is to strengthen every child and their family holistically and sustainably. The KiFaZ works with partners such as the health department, the advice centers or the family education centers.
The KiFaZ program of the state capital Stuttgart supports day care centers in which a certain proportion of children and families are supported whose living conditions are particularly burdened – for example due to poverty and structural educational disadvantage. In addition, KiFaZ also explicitly addresses children with disabilities and their families. Thanks to their open attitude and networked approach, the KiFaZ are very well suited to providing support and encouragement to children and families.
There are over 30 municipally funded children’s and family centers (KiFaZ) with different sponsorships throughout the city. The KiFaZ receive additional resources for offers that create educational equality and include the families’ social space. All children and families at the facility benefit from the KiFaZ offerings, regardless of their life situation.
