Children (3) hit by a car in a cabin field

A little girl was hit by a car in a cabin field on Hovden on Saturday. The child was flown to Stavanger University Hospital with what may be fractures.

The police state that the accident was reported at 12.25.

The child was first brought to the health center at Hovden.

From there it was flown to Stavanger. At 13.48, the police stated that the extent of the damage was not known.

Flew to hospital

Just before 2 pm, operations manager Eivind Formo can tell that the child has landed in Stavanger.

– We are interrogating the driver and witnesses at Hovden. What we can say is that a minor child was hit on a road inside a cabin field.

Was backed up

At 4 pm, Audun Eide has taken over as operations manager in the Agder police district. He says that the accident must have happened when the car backed up, at low speed.

The girl who was hit is three years old and may have sustained fractures, says Eide. Other than that, he knows nothing about the condition.
