Childbirth in Ukraine
The increased payments from the state will affect not only the tariffication of medical care for childbirth, but also the services of doctors for the care of newborn babies. For premature babies weighing up to one and a half kilograms will be allocated up to 130 thousand hryvnia. For newborns weighing more than one and a half kilograms – up to 25 thousand hryvnia.
All expenses for medical care for women in labor and newborns are covered by the state in those medical institutions that have entered into an agreement with the NHSU.
Delivery cost in Ukraine:
Regular childbirth – 10 382 hryvnia
For premature babies weighing up to 1.5 kg – 113 725 hryvnia
For premature babies over 1.5 kg – 25 115 hryvnia
Pregnancy management
The introduction of pregnancy will also change from April 1. There will be a separate package that will also be paid by the NHSU, and women will be able to receive such assistance free of charge.
This package will include: registration, development of an individual pregnancy management plan, necessary tests and instrumental examinations, classes in a special school, consultations and management of the postpartum period.
