Child under 13 with snot nose is allowed to go to school untested • Algarve from yellow to orange

1212 new corona infections were reported in South Korea today, which is the second highest daily figure ever in the country. More than a thousand infections have been identified in the Seoul metropolitan region, which is home to about 25 million people.

Prime Minister Kim has announced stricter corona measures if the number of infections continues to rise in the coming days. “This is an emergency situation and we must deploy all resources against Covid-19,” he said.

Kim is concerned about the rapid spread of the delta variant of the coronavirus, especially among people in their twenties and thirties who have not yet been vaccinated. The prime minister asked young people to be tested preventively. “Not just to protect yourself, but your family members, friends, people at school and everyone in the country,” he said.

Only 10 percent of South Koreans are fully vaccinated, 38 percent have had at least one shot. By way of comparison: in the Netherlands these percentages are respectively over 40 and about 75 percent.
