Child seriously injured in collision with car in Katwijk | Inland

The collision took place at the primary school, around the corner from the Markt site between the Zeeweg and the Piet Heinlaan. The child was scooting down the street and was overlooked by the driver. The victim was seriously injured in the collision.

Emergency services, including a trauma helicopter, came to Piet Heinlaan to provide assistance. With the support of the trauma team, the victim received medical care in the ambulance on the spot. After that, the child was rushed to hospital accompanied by a number of police motorcycles.

It is not clear what exactly was the cause of the accident. The police are investigating this.
