US government agencies have accused the Tiktok video platform of not doing enough to stop the spread of child pornography. In addition, they lack protective mechanisms to protect young users from attacks by older users. The US Department of Justice and the Interior have launched an investigation into how Tiktok handles child pornography content and how a private function is being abused by perpetrators.
