A CHILD was killed as Russian artillery fire rained down on a Ukrainian children’s hospital yesterday, local media reported.
Two other children were injured in the blast that hit the Okhmatdyt National Specialized Children’s Hospital, according to the Kyiv Independent.
Two other adults were also reportedly injured in the attack.
It comes after an oncology center used to help people with cancer was left ablaze after Russian forces opened fire in Melitopol on Friday.
Extremely heavy air raids were expected in Kiev around 9 p.m. last night as Russian airdrops filled the sky.
The Kiev Central Station was also out of power due to continued hostilities.
The bloody battle for Kiev is said to have claimed the lives of 14 Ukrainian military service members and home guards and six civilians – injuring a further 71 people so far.
