A child was injured Sunday afternoon after falling from a balcony in Zutphen, reportedly from the fifth floor. The child was taken to the hospital, police said. The mother was reportedly arrested.
The incident happened around 7:30 pm on Van Drinenstraat. The police are investigating how the child fell and are also looking into whether a crime could have been committed. Witnesses are being asked to come forward.
The victim’s age and the severity of the injuries have not been released. according to Stornoway he would have been a 5-year-old boy who had fallen from the fifth floor. His mother was reportedly arrested, according to the newspaper. The police do not want to confirm this yet.
