A 5-year-old child has died in New York State from an inflammatory disease with symptoms similar to Kawasaki disease, probably linked to Covid-19, the governor of New York State said on Friday.
There are now 73 cases of such symptoms in children in this state, where the epidemic is receding, he said.

For the past two weeks, several countries have reported cases of children affected by these symptoms similar to a rare condition, Kawasaki disease. The link with Covid-19 is not formally established, but scientists consider it likely.
