Police say the car left the road for unknown reasons and then crashed into a tree. “To the best of our knowledge, it was a single-vehicle accident, with no other vehicle involved,” said a spokesman.
CPR in vain
Several ambulances and two air ambulances were present at the scene of the accident. Rescuers tried to resuscitate the child, but it died at the scene.
One of the injured was taken to a hospital by helicopter. A spokesperson said it looked “serious”.
The accident happened around 4.50 pm this afternoon on the Oude Bredaseweg in Chaam. Police officers are investigating the cause of the accident.
