Child (2) locked in sweltering car, police have to break a window | Brabant

Police had to free a 2-year-old child from a hot car parked in the sun this morning. This had to be done by smashing a window.

This is reported by the Alphen police. The car was locked, with all the keys to the car still inside. The child was locked in the high chair.

Because the sun quickly got too hot in the car, the police had to act quickly and it was decided to break in a window – the window that was furthest from the child. This allowed the police to access the car key to unlock the car. The child, sweaty and quite startled, was able to cry with the mother and was given a police teddy bear by the police officers.
