Chihuahua.- The Municipal Government, through its Cyber Police, urges Chihuahuans to take precautions to avoid falling into deception or payment commitments when requesting money loans from financial institutions or applications of dubious reputation.
The Cyber Police has detected in recent months the appearance of suspicious and unknown applications, therefore, it is recommended to use well-established and recognized financial institutions, in order to know the terms and conditions clearly.
Third police officer Alexis Pérez Molina, assigned to the Cyber Police, said that when someone enters these applications and accepts the permissions they request, their personal information has already been compromised, which can be used for misuse later, if presented. a late or incomplete application for a loan.
“The modus operandi of these applications consists of using harassment and threats towards the victims or their contacts, whom they usually threaten, sending grotesque and vulgar content to them or on the networks, to exert pressure, which is why it is important to follow the recommendations of the authority in this regard,” added the officer.
-Here are the recommendations of the Cyber Police:
• Make loans in well-established institutions, which preferably have a physical branch in the city.
• Look for references and comments from other users about these places and applications
• If you send IDs or documents, add a watermark to them so they cannot be used in other official procedures.
• Do not provide information about your address or many details about your personal life.
• If you have questions or want more information about it, you can contact the Cyber Police, at 614-4-42-73-00, ext. 3214
