Juventus striker Federico Chiesa suffered a knee injury in their 1-0 home win against German side SC Freiburg in the Europa League on Thursday, coach Massimiliano Allegri has announced.
Church was substituted in the second half, giving Allegri a new concern before his team receives the Sampdoria in Serie A on Sunday.
“There is no choice but to go and see tomorrow (for Chiesa)“, said Allegri. “We have a few players absent, (Fabio) Miretti came back today and could play a half. It’s a shame that (Moise) Kean is suspended on Sunday in a very, very difficult and very important game for us, because we have to find our way back to winning ways in Serie A“, said Allegri.
Paul Pogba was not in the group after arriving late for a meeting, but Allegri said the French midfielder will be available again from this Friday.
