KANSAS CITY, Missouri, USA. (AP) – Patrick Mahomes he threw for 331 yards, Kareem Hunt ran for 102 yards and a touchdown, and the Kansas City Chiefs overcame more problems in the red zone on Monday to beat the New Orleans Saints on a big night for Kansas City’s professional sports teams.
“It was a great feeling to get back in the end zone. I missed it a lot,” said Hunt, who only returned to the Chiefs a couple of weeks ago after an injury to the starter. Isiah Pacheco.
Just as the Chiefs moved to 5-0 thanks to another defensive gem, the Royals beat the Yankees in Game 2 of their American League Division Series in New York. There were frequent chants of “Go Royals!” throughout the game, and when the Royals finished off a 4-2 victory to send the series back to Kansas City tied at one game apiece, a roar went through Arrowhead Stadium.
“There was kind of a pause toward the end of the game, and I thought, ‘They’re not showing the score. The Yankees are back,'” said Mahomes, a part owner of the Royals. “But they got the win, and it was extremely exciting.”
There was also a celebration with the Chiefs. The rookie wide receiver Xavier Worthy scored another touchdown, and his defense stopped his old rival the Raiders, Derek Carrwhile giving the Saints (2-3) their third consecutive loss.

Even though the Chiefs led 10-7, field goals kept New Orleans in the game, until unlike the last games, Kansas City managed to capitalize not in the last minutes, but on the last play to extend their advantage.
“They outplayed us,” Saints coach Dennis Allen said. “We really couldn’t do much on either side.”
Next up, New Orleans hosts Tampa Bay on Sunday.
Kansas City has a bye week before visiting San Francisco on October 20.
