Chief selector that Sanju Samson is 200 percent part of the Indian team’s plans

Ajit Agarkar, chief selector of the Indian cricket team, spoke to Malayalee player Sanju Samson amid criticism that he was being left out of the team. He gave the answer to the national media that the doors of the Indian team are not closed in front of the Malayali star.

Agarkar revealed that he had spoken to Sanju Samson before the team selection for the matches against Australia. This meeting was held in Mumbai. Agarkar said that Sanju Samson is 200 per cent, not 100 per cent, part of the Indian team’s plans and the player will be considered for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

He said in an interview to a national media that an attempt was made to test some young players in the tour against Australia. It is learned that the selection committee and team management under Agarkar have asked Sanju to work hard to improve his fitness level.

Currently, Sanju Samson is the captain of the Kerala team in the Vijay Hazare tournament. Kerala beat Saurashtra by three wickets in the first match of the season yesterday. Kerala beat Saurashtra’s target of 186 runs with the loss of 7 wickets in 47.4 overs. Sanju had scored 30 runs. Sanju can easily return to the national team if he can play a good innings for Kerala in the Vijay Hazare Trophy ODI tournament.

Meanwhile, the India and Australia teams will reach Thiruvananthapuram today for the second T20 match. The players will arrive at Kariyavattam Greenfield Stadium around 6.30 pm ahead of Sunday’s T20 match. The teams depart from Visakha town in a special flight. Both the teams will train at the Greenfield Stadium tomorrow.
