“Today, this is the beginning of the end of what Bulgarian citizens and the media call a conquered state, and others call an oligarchic-political mafia, and the end of what Bulgarians call “political garbage”, political mafia, criminals and thieves. These are all the definitions , which the Bulgarian citizens give”, said the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev at a briefing.
He emphasized that he was quoting the words of Bulgarian citizens that he heard throughout the country. “I am doing this for the future of Bulgaria and the future of our children,” Geshev added.
“I am a Bulgarian, a man and a magistrate, and when I say something I keep my word and as a lawyer I can prove it. I respect the constitution and the laws of the country, this is the vocation of every magistrate. That is why I waited patiently to give information according to the law . In the course of an investigation by the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor’s Office for political corruption and influence peddling,” the chief prosecutor said.

He added that about half an hour ago he gave an explanation in the course of the investigation following a report by Borislav Sarafov against him.
“I suspect that it is true that the wave of reports of this person were initially published in the media. This is only at the expense of the morals of these people.
