The chief of staff of the province of Buenos Aires, Martin Insaurraldepresented his resignation from that position this afternoon in a note to Governor Axel Kicillof, who accepted it, after photographs of him on a yacht with a model in Europe were known.
Official sources told Télam that the resignation occurred after a trip that the now former official took with the model Sofia Clerici to Marbella (Spain) became publicly known.
Although the date of the trip is not specified, in Clérici’s posts, which were later deleted from his Instagram account, you can see photos with the former mayor of Lomas de Zamora on a luxury boat sailing through the Mediterranean.
From the Insaurralde environment they released a statement in which he explained: “As I do not want to be used to affect the political space in the electoral process, today I presented my resignation from the position of Chief of Staff of the Province.”
Insaurralde arrived in the Buenos Aires cabinet after the 2021 legislative elections and, until then, was mayor of Lomas de Zamora for 12 years.
When the fact became known, the main leaders of Together for Change (JxC) and La Libertad Avanza (LLA) questioned Insaurralde’s attitude on social networks.
From the Buenos Aires Executive they indicated that for now ““There is no replacement.”and they announced that the Governor will analyze how the situation of the Chief of Staff will continue in the coming hours.
