Colonel-in-Chief Gábor Böröndi pointed out that the “leadership period other than peace, for example the close cooperation with the civil administration”, is being sharply tested, which means that the commanders-in-chief of the north-eastern counties provide the necessary services for military operations and troop movements.
The Chief of the General Staff of the Honvéd pointed out that
as a member of NATO’s alliance system, “our country has an obligation to prepare for and deter the threat from the east, and we are practicing this now.”
Gábor Böröndi said that the Hungarian multinational battle group is stationed in Bakony, where Turkish, Italian, American and Croatian soldiers serve. He added: in cooperation with them, the preparation for the threat from the east, the deterrence on the part of NATO, is taking place.
