The incident took place at Mulanthurutthi Karavattekurishi on the way where the Chief Minister and the ministers were passing to the Piravam Constituency Navakerala Sadas venue. The police action was half an hour before the Navakerala bus arrived.

The police had come to observe the shed of INTUC workers. He became suspicious when he saw 2 young men talking to the workers in the shed. On a detailed inspection, a slipper was noticed in the envelope in one’s hand.

He explained that he was on his way home after buying new shoes, but the police seized the shoes along with the envelope. The shoe was guarded by the police inside the jeep until the Chief Minister passed. After the bus left, the shoe was returned to the owner.
