Thiruvananthapuram∙ Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s scientific adviser M.C. Datta. Dutta asked if you have any work and ‘advised’ the journalists to go searching. Following the blockade, the police imposed restrictions on the secretariat gate, and M.C. came inside. Dutt was stopped next to the barricade. Later, as soon as he got inside, when he sought a response, Dutta hit out at the media.

Dattan, who entered through the barricade, was talking to the police officer and was walking away when the journalists sought his response. The journalists’ question was about the difficulty caused due to the sanctions. An angry Duttan’s reaction to the journalists is as follows:

‘Don’t you all have a job? If that’s the case, go find it.’

The UDF started the blockade of the secretariat from 6.30 am, demanding that the crisis in the ration distribution sector be resolved and that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who is leading the corrupt administration, resign. The protest was raised with the slogan ‘Government and thugs’. Protesters blocked all roads except the Cantonment Gate. Police imposed traffic control on the roads leading to the Secretariat. There is also traffic control in Thiruvananthapuram city. Opposition Leader VD Satheesan inaugurated the blockade.
