Malappuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recalled that there was a time when he cooperated with the Muslim League. When Malappuram district was formed, the RSS and some others accused it of being a small Pakistan. The Chief Minister also said that they are not saying who are the others who have attacked.
“In 1967, the EMS Cabinet declared Malappuram district for the development of this backward land. RSS alleged that a small Pakistan has been created in Kerala. In the 60s, the League was co-operating as part of the Left. It is also good to remember who criticized the ‘Rawalpindi peaking axis’ at that stage” – said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister’s remarks were made at the book release ceremony. League MLA P. Obaidullah received the book from Pinarayi.
