Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo failed to reach the quarter-finals of the All England 2023 after losing to Weng Hong Yang at Utilita Arena Birmingham, Thursday (16/3).
Chico lost to Weng 11-21, 21-15, 21-13. From the start of the first game, Chico seemed to have a hard time getting out of Weng’s pressure, who led 11-8 at the interval in the first game.
After the interval, Weng’s points were difficult to catch by Chico. Weng’s four straight points earned him a 15-10 lead.
Chico really did not move from Weng at the critical points of the first game. Weng won a game point, 20-10 after Chico’s comeback. The ball was grabbed by Weng with a smash to Chico’s backhand side.
Weng Hong Yang finally won the first game with a score of 21-11.
