Chicane # 11 “Dear work” | Sciences Po Aix

The health crisis that we are going through today highlighted the inequalities that already existed in our society: What work deserves a salary? Who are the essential workers? What place for women, who are the first to occupy these jobs on the front line, overexposed to the virus? What are the consequences for their professional life, especially for those who have been teleworking for over a year now? These gender inequalities at work exist and have always existed: how do the private and public sectors respond to them? Are women’s careers particularly affected by certain labor market dynamics?
