CHICAGO, Illinois – Remembrance weekend starts under sad conditions.
Just when Chicago had enjoyed its own summer week, the weather conditions reversed.
Northeast Illinois wakes up this Friday feeling in the mid 30’s.
Rain will be present intermittently for much of the day.

A passing storm is possible after one in the afternoon.
Strong winds will be blowing from the northeast at a rate of 25 miles per hour with gusts of up to 40.

- Until tonight: Continuous rain tonight with strong winds and temperatures dropping to the low 40’s

- Weekend: Strong winds will also be responsible for high surf and rip currents.

The National Meteorological Service has issued a statement to alert bathers about high waves and danger as well as rip currents. Dangerous conditions over coastal areas extend into Saturday afternoon. The sun returns this weekend.
