“Chicago Police Issue Alert to Near West Side Businesses after String of Morning Robberies”

Chicago.- In response to a series of morning robberies, in bars, restaurants and taverns, Chicago Police issued an alert to business owners in the Near West Side area.

The warning from the authorities comes after five northwestern bars, including three listed in the alert, were raided by the owners of foreign property.

According to the alert, the suspects are breaking windows, breaking into businesses, and opening cash registers and safes to get cash.

The subjects have not yet been identified, but police he describes them as male suspects wearing black clothing, black ski masks and gloves.

Police recommend that business owners don’t leave cash at the register, install quality alarms and video surveillance cameras, and have a safe or locked safe for cash deposits.

*April 25, 2100 block of W. Chicago Ave. at 4:30 am.
*April 26, 2100 block of W. Chicago Ave. at 2:19 am.
*April 26, 1000 block N. Ashland Ave. at 5 am.
*April 29, 2100 block of W. Chicago Ave. at 4:13 am.
*April 29, 2200 block of W. Chicago Ave. at 4:15 am.
*April 29, 1300 block W. Grand Ave. at 5:50 am.
