“Chicago PD – Season 9” – Series Tip – Darkly continues with an intense and exciting series, now showing what is happening in the Chicago Police Department’s District 21 for the 9th time. Also in the ninth season, Sergeant Hank Voight goes on the hunt for bad guys with his incomparable and surly ways as head of the intelligence unit.
Together with his team, he fights crime on a large scale, from drug smuggling to murders of all kinds. The spin-off of the hit series “Chicago Fire” has meanwhile blossomed into a series highlight. Mainly because of its motley police force, which has really grown on you. Even with this season “Chicago PD” scores with exciting cases, wonderfully bestial villains and this generally unique charm.
Exciting cases, strong team, great crime entertainment
This also allows the series to stand out from many other crime formats. Dick Wolf (“Law & Order”) cleverly continues the story of Voight and his team in season nine. After a truly tumultuous year for the unit and a dramatic change in department leadership, the team’s relationships are now being tested.
Despite adversity and even differing opinions on the new path of unity, the team remains determined to protect their beloved city of Chicago. All in all, the 22 new episodes will keep crime fans entertained for approximately 880 minutes, with plenty of compelling episodes.
Above all, workhorse Jason Beghe as Sergeant Hank Voight is phenomenal again. Ultimately, the 9th season of this brilliant crime thriller series is once again convincing, so that all fans old and new can look forward to the home cinema release.
