Chicago PD fans have a reason to celebrate next week as the hit series hits an incredible 200 episode milestone. Sadly, viewers were also worried after a tense promotion for next week’s episode on NBC announced the possible death of Kim Burgess (played by Marina Squerciati).
In the latest teaser for the Chicago PD series, Kim Burgess was fainting and had no help in sight.
The hit series will return next week for its 200th episode, and fans are worried the show will pull out all the stops for this feat.
In the promo, Burgess spots a man, Jamie Bagley (Tireni Oyenusi), bleeding from his chest while riding the Chicago subway.
However, the man seems reluctant to accept her help as it was revealed that he was involved in a shooting.

Things take a turn for the worse when the L train goes awry, throwing Burgess to her feet.
Her situation doesn’t seem to improve, as she later struggles to breathe with no one around her in a dark train car.
Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger), another officer and her ex-fiancé, calls her, but can he reach her before she succumbs to the injuries she suffered?
The episode synopsis reads: “After a brutal gunfight, Burgess and Ruzek find themselves stranded aboard the subway train ‘L’.
“As they piece together the meager evidence, the team is drawn into a dark family drama. Burgess’ proximity to the shooting triggers harsh memories. »
NBC hasn’t confirmed anything regarding Squerciati’s departure from the show, but that hasn’t stopped fans from worrying about his potential demise.
When the clip was posted on YouTube, Liliana Santoy asked, “Why do we always have to fear for Kim’s safety? I can’t wait to see the 200th episode. »
User Nate asked, “Why is it always Burgess who is in trouble or looks like [they’re] are we going to kill him? Poor Burgess! »

Burgess has racked up injuries and trauma over the previous nine Chicago PD seasons, and apparently the latest outing will be no different.
Whether it’s getting shot in the second season or losing her baby in the seventh, the dedicated agent has enough trauma to fill the entire Chicago precinct.
Luckily, she’s also proven herself to be one of the most resilient members of the police force, so let’s hope she manages to emerge from her latest meltdown unscathed.
Season 10 of Chicago PD continues Thursdays on NBC in the United States. The UK release date has yet to be announced.
