New to the tenth round are Sarah Ramos (Parenthood) and Darren Barnet (from Netflix’s Never Have I Ever). She becomes Dr. Caitlin Lenox and he plays Dr. John Frost.
In addition to the main role in “Parenthood,” Ramos is known from the NBC series Midnight, Texas and American Dreams, but also from The Bear and Winning Time.
Barnet played this for four seasons love interest the main character in “Noch nie in meine Leben”, as “Never Have I Ever” is called in German. He was also seen in the “Road House” remake and “Anyone But You” in the film sector.
As with the other “One Chicago” series, the ensembles fluctuate often. So they now fill the gap left by Dominic Rains as Dr. Crockett Marcel, who has been there as a trauma surgeon since season five and will no longer be involved. In the ninth season finale, it was revealed to him that a former patient had died and that the little boy’s father had committed suicide. He tearfully admitted to Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) that he had once lost a child himself. However, he had never taken the time to properly come to terms with the loss of his daughter. So he is now taking this time retrospectively.
Key actors such as S. Epatha Merkerson (aka Sharon Goodwin), Oliver Platt (Dr. Daniel Charles) and Marlyne Barrett (Maggie Lockwood) recently signed new contracts for NBC’s popular medical series. Additionally, Luke Mitchell aka Dr. Mitch Ripley joins the lead cast. He has only been there since the ninth season.
