The legal representative of the Ecopark firm, Mauro Pereira, spoke about the operation of the park and its permanence.

This is an attraction for citizens to have a place of recreation with family or friends, which is managed by a private company.

The Chicago Ferris wheel on the Asunción waterfront has 18 cabins with capacity for four adults. Children accompanied by a guardian and even pets can also ride on the attraction.

Today, it is the tallest Ferris wheel in the country, from where you can enjoy panoramic views of the bay and a beautiful sunset. Rides are open from Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to midnight, and the cost per person is G. 30,000 for adults, and for children up to 14 years old, G. 20,000.

As for the permanence of the game, negotiations are underway with the Municipality of Asunción. “It is becoming difficult to stay because we have not reached an agreement on operating costs, but we are looking to make it permanent,” clarified Mauro Pereira.

He also said that the idea is to continue investing in whatever is possible to achieve a greater variety of attractions for the city. “If we secure the space to continue investing, everything can happen, since it is our clear intention to bring and leave more attractions for the city as in many capitals of the world. Thus, Paraguay would also have its attractive area without being left behind and grow in that aspect,” explained Pereira.

The idea is to stay on the Asunción waterfront and negotiations are underway for this. “Currently, the Municipality pays a fee for the space. What we are now looking for is permanence and we are working on that,” he said.

The highest in Paraguay

This was born with the idea of having the largest Ferris wheel in Paraguay, taking as a reference those of Foz de Yguazú, Brazil, and Puebla in Mexico, which are the closest. “It was decided to bet on Paraguay, so that it has a panoramic wheel, specifically in Asunción, which is in the struggle to grow with more cultural and social recreational activities.

In this way, the companies Ecopark and Citypark contributed their grain of sand to make the dream of the Chicago Wheel in Asunción come true, with the motto: “Paraguay, yes we can.”

The goal of these private companies is to install renovated, state-of-the-art attractions for the city and to provide people with more recreational options.

Ecopark will also promote environmentally sustainable projects to improve areas such as the Costanera.

The panoramic view features lighting effects at night to take photos and remember.
