Chicago Bears holen Schaffer als Free Agent

The defensive end can now hope to get one of the coveted squad places in the training camp in the summer. The defender, who had played for Stanford University at the highest college level for five years, was not drawn by any of the 32 teams on the final day of the draft. They had chosen 259 players in seven rounds since Thursday in Cleveland.

Seikovits and Misangumukini also hope

Offensive player Bernhard Seikovits and defensive player Leonel Misangumukini, who took part in the International Pathway Program (IPP) this year, will find out in the days after the draft whether they have made the leap into the billion-dollar league. In this way, running back Sandro Platzgummer secured a training place with the New York Giants last season. The Tyrolean is fighting for a place in the squad again this year.

With Toni Fritsch, Toni Linhart and Raimund “Ray” Wersching, three Austrians played in the NFL in the 1970s and 1980s, all of them as undrafted players in the special position of the kicker.
