The Chicago Bears (1-4) get their first win of the season in week five of the NFL. Head Coach Matt Eberflus’ team clearly defeated the Washington Commanders (2-3) 40:20 in the Thursday Night Game.
The standout on the victorious Bears’ side is wide receiver DJ Moore, who produced an incredible 230 receiving yards and also caught three touchdowns. Moore is the first Chicago receiver in the Super Bowl era to catch three touchdowns and rush for over 200 yards.
Bears quarterback Justin Fields only completed half of his passes, but at the end of the day he threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns.
Sam Howell, quarterback of the Commanders, managed 388 passing yards and two touchdowns (plus 1 interception), but the game was never really close.
This means that the Carolina Panthers (0-4) are now only one team without a win in the current NFL season.
