One of the most representative bands of American rock returns to El Paso: Chicago.
With a handful of hits that are inserted into soft rock and its fusion with jazz and progressive, the group will please the public during the show that will take place on March 3 at the Abraham Chavez Theater.
Born in the city of the same name in 1967, Chicago is, along with Blood, Sweat & Tears, the most successful band in commercial terms of what was called the ‘Big Bands’ of rock.
His permanence on stage after more than half a century demonstrates the leadership of the group within its genre, and in general in popular music.
He arrives at the date he will have with the frontiersmen with a repertoire that includes the most listened to and chanted hits by thousands of fans around the world, such as ‘Hard to Say I’m Sorry’, ‘If You Leave Me Now’, ‘You’ re The Inspiration’ and ‘Glory of Love’.
The first album he released was under the Chicago Transit Authority name, later staying solely as Chicago. Then a very productive stage would come, with Peter Cetera at the helm, which would last until the early eighties, when they reached the top.
Chicago has changed members throughout its history, but has never stopped playing; that constant contact with his public is the reason why the locations of his concerts are always busy.
