Chiara Ferragni (37) and Fedez (34) have been separated for several months. But the war of roses between Italy’s former dream couple is only just beginning. The businesswoman publicly criticizes the rapper’s new song.
On Friday, Fedez dropped “L’infanzia difficile di un benestante” (The difficult childhood of a wealthy man). On the track, he disses rapper Tony Effe and seems to confirm the rumors that his ex-wife Chiara and the musician had something together. At the same time, he announced another song: “Allucinazione Collettiva” (Collective Hallucinations). His fans suspected another diss.
Fedez raps about the marriage crisis with Chiara
The song, however, turned out to be a love song about his marriage to Chiara. He raps, among other things: “Do you remember? Sanremo was painted black because of a gossip story. You throw me out of the house and I throw away the Prozac pill.” He is referring to the crisis the couple went through after the Sanremo music festival, when Fedez kissed the rapper Rosa Chemical on stage.
In another line, the 34-year-old becomes sentimental: «And yet I know that you have given me the most beautiful things I have ever
I have experienced things with you that I will never experience again.» But these lyrics seem to leave Chiara cold.
Chiara speaks out against the song on Instagram
In a longer statement in her story, she writes: “Tonight, there is no diss track coming out, but a fake romantic song with no sincerity. A blatant attempt to take advantage of the moment, a violent act considering it has been a very difficult ten months. I’m trying to keep going despite everything and I’m simply asking to be left out of these games.”
In many situations in recent months, she has chosen to remain silent: “But now I am tired. I am tired of being subjected to baseless attacks, unfounded gossip and poisonous rumors. I think it is time to put an end to all this and to be able to live in peace without being drawn into situations that do not belong to me, not today and never again.”
Fedez has not yet commented on his ex’s comments. The drama is being hotly debated on social media. Some celebrate Fedez for his openness: “This is a song that goes straight to the heart.” Others find it tasteless how the musician is exploiting the drama with Chiara for his career. “Fedez is turning out to be the Kanye West of Italy,” says one user on Tiktok, for example.
