Chhatarpur: A sensational case came to light in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh. The body of Kavita Ahirwar, who lived on Dairy Road in the district, was found in a semi-nude state in Dhuandhar, Jabalpur. Family members allege that her daughter was raped and murdered. Kavita was a lawyer by profession and practiced in Chhatarpur court. Along with this she was studying in IIM.
Had left home saying she was going to the bank
Family members say that Kavita had left home on the 8th asking to go to the bank. After this she did not return. The family members were worried and were searching for him among his relatives and friends. But, he was nowhere to be found. On October 9, the family members reached Civil Lines police station and lodged a missing report in the case.
Half naked body found in Dhuandhar, Jabalpur
On October 12, family members came to know that the dead body of a girl was found in Dhuandhar, Jabalpur. On receiving police information, the family reached Jabalpur, where they got confirmation that the body was that of Kavita. About Rs 7000, some of his belongings and a mobile phone were also recovered from the body. Since Kavita’s body was in water for the last two days, it became completely swollen. Family members told that there were injury marks on Kavita’s body and her tongue was sticking out. His body was found in a semi-nude state.

The family members allege that their daughter was first raped and then murdered. Family members say that when their daughter left the house, she was wearing a salwar suit. Whereas, when her dead body was found in Jabalpur, she was wearing a saree. There is mehndi on her hands, bindi on her forehead and anklets on her feet. Along with this, other wedding items were also found from him. Kavita’s brother Hemant told that everything was fine. Don’t know what happened suddenly that his dead body was found.
Police of two districts engaged in investigation
In this case, Civil Line police station in-charge Balmik Choubey says that Kavita Ahirwar was registered missing on the 9th. Along with family members, we were also trying to find people. But on 12th, information was received that a dead body of a girl was found in Dhuandhar, Jabalpur. Kavita’s family members were informed about this. The family members who reached Jabalpur have confirmed that everything belongs to their daughter Kavita. The matter is very complicated. We are in need of CCTV cameras in Chhatarpur city. Whatever help is available will be provided. The girl is from Chhatarpur while the incident took place in Jabalpur. Therefore, the police of two districts are jointly investigating.
Mobile location found in many districts
When the police took out the CDR details of Kavita Ahirwar’s mobile during the initial investigation, the police were also surprised. The location of Kavita Ahirwar’s mobile was found from Chhatarpur to Panna. After this, it returned from Panna to Chhatarpur and then again reached Jabalpur via Panna.
