Chery Tiggo 8 Pro E+: First Owner Review and Analysis of Features and Performance

As soon as the hybrid Chery Tiggo 8 Pro e + entered the Russian market, its customers have already begun to leave their reviews on the Internet. One of the first official owners of the “green” crossover in the Russian Federation was a user named Igor. He switched to a technological novelty from Chery from a premium Exeed VX.

Regarding his feeling after changing the internal combustion engine to a hybrid installation, Igor said:

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro with a “big” plus

Igor starts with a visual inspection of the Tiggo 8 Pro e+. He notes that the design and dimensions of the car are fully consistent with the 8 Pro Max model. The crossover is equipped with an already familiar appearance and a 7-seater saloon with a similar interior. Recall that from the outside, two Tiggos can be distinguished only by the exhaust pipes and the charging connector on the front fender of the hybrid modification.

At the same time, from the trunk of a new car there is access to the main battery. By the way, according to Igor, it is the battery that is the lowest point in terms of ground clearance. This parameter for a hybrid is 200 mm. Igor also draws attention to the need for mandatory installation of engine protection and an additional grid in front of the radiator. “It’s not like a fly will fly by – the stones will fly in,” the owner described the size of the cells of the standard radiator grille.

Charging station as a gift

Recall that Tiggo 8 Pro e + is a rechargeable hybrid. Chery even promised a very solid gift to the first buyers of the car – a powerful charging station and a certificate for its installation. And, according to Igor, such a gift is really given. They promised to bring and install a “professional powerful charging station” within two weeks from the date of purchase.

Using such a special installation, the crossover battery should be charged in 2.5 hours. In the meantime, under normal home conditions, Igor spends from 5 to 6 hours to fully charge the traction battery.

Fuel consumption and dynamics

Naturally, when it comes to a hybrid car, the top priority for many is fuel economy. For the Tiggo 8 Pro e+, Chery claims real-world gas mileage of 1.3 liters per 100 km. And, as Igor noted in his review, such efficiency for a large crossover looks quite real.

According to him, in everyday use, gasoline is mainly consumed during sharp accelerations. And if you drive smoothly, the battery is charged.

– When I was driving all the time on acceleration, 5 liters showed me the consumption. I economically traveled 20 kilometers on the battery, showed 1.5-2 liters

At the same time, according to the owner, the acceleration declared by the manufacturer from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.5 seconds also looks quite real:

– According to the dynamics, I think it (the car) will show for 7 seconds.
