PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) officially launched an electric car Chery Omoda E5 in Indonesia, Monday (5/3). This launch has world premiere status or the first in the world.
Qu Jizong as Executive Vice President of PT CSI said, Chery Omoda E5 is an electric car specifically for consumers who like to travel long distances and always prioritize appearance.
“Omoda E5 consumers are those who want to try new and fun things, such as living a valuable lifestyle and the desire to experience the futuristic side and fashionable design of vehicles,” said Jizong at the product launch in Central Jakarta, Monday evening (5/2).

Assistant President Director of PT CSI, Zeng Shuo explained, the Omoda E5 design carries the ‘Light of Movement’ philosophy which is inspired by light and shadow when a lightning strike occurs.
“The design of the Omoda E5 is sharp and the personalized silhouette captures that energy. You can also see the design heritage through the appearance of the Omoda E5,” he said.

The Chery Omoda E5 is priced at IDR 498.8 million. However, specifically for the first thousand buyers, there is a discount of IDR 10 million and a lifetime electric motorbike battery guarantee.
The nominal price has status on the road Jakarta and includes tax incentives from the government.

The Chery Omoda E5 has dimensions of 4,424 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, 1,588 mm in height and a wheelbase of 2,630 mm. The outside of this car uses 18 inch alloy wheels with dual tone colors and a sporty design.
This non-emission vehicle is packed with many advanced features, such as dual 24.6 inch touch screens with Bluetooth and USB connectivity features, Sony audio system, Apple Carplay + Android Auto, intelligent voice interactive operation, and also 540°HD panoramic image.

There are also six electric adjustment options for the driver and front passenger seats, there is also a multifunction steering wheel with three driving style options (eco, sport and normal). There is also a sunroof which can make the cabin feel more spacious.
Chery Omoda E5 uses Permanent Magnet Synchronous and a battery with a capacity of 61.06 kWh which can cover a distance of 430 km (WLTP test). This vehicle has a Max DC charging feature of 150 kW power with fast charging for 28 minutes to charge from 30-80 percent.
The electric motor embedded in the Omoda E5 is claimed to be capable of producing 204 hp of power and 340 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, accelerating from zero to 100 km/hour only takes 7.2 seconds.
Various passive and active safety features are embedded in the Chery Omoda E5, starting from disc brakes on all wheels with ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), 4-door window anti-pinch system, safety belt with pretensioner and load limiter, and child safety door locks.
The Omoda E5 is also equipped with a strong high strength anticorrosive body, anti-theft alarm, 6 ring-type airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system to monitor tires.
