Cars from China continue to increase their share in the Russian market, becoming practically the only alternative to Lada models. The TOP-10 most popular cars in the first quarter of this year included 8 “Chinese” at once.

According to a study (China Initial Quality Study) conducted by the Chinese office of the American edition, the most reliable among the models from China is the Chery Arrizo 5 Plus sedan.
This 4-door will appear on the Russian market in May, but will be called differently – Omoda S5. The prices for it are already known – from 2 million 19 thousand 900 rubles, and the acceptance of orders started in April.
Recall that the JD Power study traditionally includes the number of service calls for every 100 vehicles. The model with the least number of appearances in repair is assigned the status of the most problem-free.
The length of the Omoda S5 is 4644 mm, so the car is a classmate of the Kia Cerato and Hyundai Elantra. In Russia, this sedan will be offered with two engines to choose from. In the basic version, a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol will be available, producing 113 horsepower and 138 Nm. He will be connected by a variator.
An alternative is a turbo engine of the same volume with a power of 147 hp. and 210 Nm, which also works with a continuously variable transmission, but is more durable.
