Cher’s daughter grew a beard

Like most child stars, Cher’s daughter Chastity began appearing in front of the camera as a child. In the 70s, the singer, together with her husband, hosted the show Sonny & Cher, and the girl had to show herself regularly in front of the cameras. The blonde babe even has her own army of fans, but now few would recognize the old Chastity.

Already in the 1990s, she told her parents that she felt like a man. He decided to reveal himself to the world in 1995 when he gave an interview to the Advocate. Cher then took her daughter’s words seriously and said she was troubled by her public statements. By this time, Cher and Chastity had been fighting for several years, and this situation only made their relationship worse.

Chastity blames Cher for always putting her career before her family and not getting enough love as a child.

The closest person to the girl has always been her father Sonny Bono, who raised her even after they broke up with Cher. At one point, she even thought that she had no right to give birth to children at all and that, when she became a mother, she should give up her job.

It takes several years for Cher to accept that her daughter no longer feels like a woman. In 2008, Chastity went through the necessary medical and legal procedures, the following year she underwent sex reassignment surgery and adopted the name Chaz Bono. Currently, Chaz has to take strong hormonal drugs that affect his weight, but he is ready to make such sacrifices. He also manages to warm the relationship with his star mother.

A few years ago, Chaz Bono made a documentary about the problems he faced after confessing. He noted that several years after the fateful interview, he received letters in which he was threatened with death. Chaz is now 55 years old, involved in music and sometimes appears in films. He has been growing a beard for several months, as if to confirm his male status.
