Cher’s Allegations Denied: Judge Denies Singer’s Conservatorship Request Over Son Elijah Blue Allman

Cher Denied Conservatorship over Son Elijah Blue Allman

Cher’s Conservatorship Bid Denied by Judge

Insufficient Evidence Cited

Renowned singer and actress Cher’s application for conservatorship over her son Elijah Blue Allman’s estate has been rejected by a Los Angeles court, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

The judge dismissed Cher’s request on January 29, considering it to have “insufficient evidence” and ruling without prejudice, leaving room for a future reevaluation of the case. Cher, famous for her Grammy-winning achievements, had sought sole conservatorship rights over the 47-year-old Elijah.

Concerns over Elijah’s Future and Assets

Cher’s legal representation alleged that Elijah, whose father was the late Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, was to receive his share of the trust by 2023. However, citing mental health and substance abuse concerns, the petition highlighted the urgency for a conservatorship to “protect Elijah’s property from loss or injury.”

The legal documents stated, “Elijah is entitled to regular distributions from the Trust, but given his ongoing mental health and substance abuse issues, [Cher] is concerned that any funds distributed to Elijah will be immediately spent on drugs, leaving Elijah with no assets to provide for himself and putting Elijah’s life at risk.”

Cher’s Representatives Unreachable for Comment

E! News has attempted to contact Cher’s representative and attorney for a response to the judge’s decision but has received no comment or statement thus far.

Cher’s efforts to secure her son’s financial well-being through the conservatorship process have currently been halted, and the fate of Elijah Blue Allman’s assets remains uncertain for now.
