In the spring, Brooklyn Brewery and United Stage continue to organize curated gigs, into the new year under the slogan Brooklyn Sound. The 2023 tour featured Random Bastards, Simeon, Supersci and Fugitive Familia among others.
The first gig for 2024 will be on International Women’s Day – with only women on stage. Booked in for the gig are the artists Cherrie, BELL, Lekaye and the DJ collective Ladieslove.
Cherry
“Sweden’s own r’n’b queen Cherrie has been praised in both P3 Gold, Grammys and has been awarded a series of awards for her artistry. She likes to highlight her roots and shows constant support for her hometown and shows the way for the younger generation. Cherrie gained attention after she released the 2015 debut single Tabanja, this was the starting point for her musical career and in the same year she was nominated for the Grammys “Newcomer of the Year” and “Music Video of the Year”.
BELL
“BELL is current with the new single “if you would go” and this is the first single from her debut EP which will be released later this spring. The EP offers a sound that many have not already heard from BELL, she mixes big ballads, sounds taken from ambient alt music and uptempo hyperpop with her most personal and naked lyrics.”

“Debuting artist Lekaye is current with the new song “Sticky”, a pulsating club song inspired by hip-hop, trap and alternative pop. Raised in Sicily and Jakobsberg with a mother from Lithuania and a father from Nigeria, Lekaye has been exposed to a strong mix of cultures during her upbringing. She calls herself “feisty”, as her attitude is, to say the least, forward-leaning. Her sound smells of Afrobeats, Soul and Trap, but is firmly rooted in Swedish hip-hop. At 17, she began her musical journey which resulted in a long period of working and refining her craft. Little by little she landed in Iceland studio and started making music there. Now 2.5 years later, Lekaye is ready to put another young female hip hop star on the Swedish music scene.”
Ladieslove
“Ladieslove was founded in Stockholm in 2014 as a creative collective with a focus on music, fashion and art. Today, childhood friends Namarijana, Nápoles and Miss CC are a DJ trio that have had great success together. They have e.g. warmed up for Beyoncé & Jay Z at Friends Arena and played clubs in New York, London, Paris, Amsterdam and Lisbon.”
