Basketball Chernomorets will keep two of its players who played last season in the team.
By the sea for the second season /2020-2022/ remains one of the main competitors that coach Vasil Evtimov will continue to rely on.
This is the former youth international Evgeni Hadjirusev, who signed with the club for two more years.
“He excelled with his speed and killer eye for the game. With an impressive 191 points and 68 assists, he was one of the key players,” the club said.
17-year-old Maxim Chokov will also play in the team.
“Expect an even bigger role for him on the men’s team, where we’ll see his full potential in action!” Let’s support Maxim and the team together, because the big moments are yet to come!”, appealed from Chernomorets.
The basketball player made his debut for the men’s team back in 2011, when he was only 14, and the club promised that he would have an increasing role in the team.
Hadjirusev started in last year’s championship with a delay due to an injury and a subsequent hand operation.
However, upon his return to the field, the guard helped to win the Bulgarian Cup, as well as the bronze medals in the playoffs.
Hadjirusev averaged 7.0 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 30 games in all competitions.
