At 1:23:45 am on April 26, 1986, during a test, reactor number 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant (in the then Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic) explodes. It will be the most serious accident in the history of civilian nuclear power, told over thirty years later by a miniseries which, in addition to illustrating what happened that night and in the following days, traces the stories of the heroes, men and women, who have given their contribution to save Europe from disaster. Let’s talk about «Chernobyl» (2019), written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck for HBO and Sky Atlantic, which returns to La7. Two scheduled appointments: Monday 19 and Monday 26 April in prime time (9.15 pm). Waiting to review the five episodes of the series (which has garnered 42 awards, including 10 Emmys, 2 Golden Globes and 1 Grammy) here is a collection of curiosities to discover.
