In the suburbs there are two old wooden churches – St. Michael’s and St. John’s. You can walk to them, just to see the icons, which are more than 300 years old. Another shrine is already in Yaremche itself. True, its age is much less – it was built in 1884.

Ivano-Frankivsk

From a bird’s eye view, the city seems very tiny. However, it is filled with interesting atmospheric locations. Ivano-Frankivsk was built in the 17th century as a fortress. Today it is a cultural center with small streets, museums, cafes and architectural masterpieces.

To fully feel the spirit of the ancient city, you should climb the tallest building in Ivano-Frankivsk – the town hall. After overcoming 166 steps, you will get to the observation deck with a beautiful view.

Ivano-Frankivsk is famous for its romantic atmosphere.

You can have an interesting time in the Bastion. This is a fortress gallery, where various exhibitions and expositions are often held. If you are a true connoisseur of cultural recreation, then do not ignore the drama theater.

Although Ivano-Frankivsk is indeed an ancient city, it has interesting modern locations. Among them is the “New Energy” scientific town, which operates in the building of the IFNTUNG Innovation and Exhibition Center. Here you can print anything on a 3D printer or try to hit a basketball hoop with a shot from an air cannon, or even plunge into a virtual trip.

Ternopil

The beautiful city will delight you with an unexpectedly large number of tourist attractions that even children will love. Start your walk from the oldest street in Ternopil – Valova. There are always a lot of young people here, because the location has long become a favorite among the locals.

Ternopil will surprise you with a large number of tourist attractions.

Don’t miss the Champs Elysees. If you think they are in France, then you just haven’t seen the Western Ukrainian version of this amazing pedestrian zone. Another park island is Topilche. It was opened relatively recently – only in 1985. However, tourists consider it one of the most beautiful places in Ternopil.

Ternopil is a small but very interesting city.

Vinnytsia

You can walk this city forever. However, if your time is somewhat limited, then we advise you to concentrate your attention on the main street. It permeates the whole of Vinnitsa and unites the main attractions. Here you can see the Transfiguration Cathedral, under which a real dungeon has been dug. In general, there used to be many secret passages in the city, which repeatedly saved the locals during enemy attacks.

Vinnytsia parks are striking in beauty.

Fountains have long been a highlight of Vinnitsa. In the evenings, real shows are shown here with music, videos and excerpts from famous Ukrainian films, which are broadcast right on the water. This incredible performance captivates even experienced tourists.

The Yerusalimka district also attracts attention. Here time seemed to have stopped. Small houses with interesting windows and doors take us back several centuries, at a time when Jews made up almost half of the city’s population.

And, of course, you should take a walk at the Vinnytsia Tower, which is 28 meters high. It was built back in 1911 and has not changed much since then. There is a museum inside. Those who wish can even book a tour and get to the top of the former water tower.

Chernihiv

One of the oldest cities in Ukraine has been flourishing for over 13 centuries. Its amazing architecture combines warlike fortifications and romantic parks. Therefore, anyone will like it here.

There are many old churches in Chernigov.

As in any ancient city, there are many beautiful shrines in Chernigov. The most interesting among them are the Catherine Church, the stone church of Paraskeva-Pyatnitsa and the Trinity Monastery.

If you want to see something incredibly exciting, then visit the Anthony Caves. This is a large-scale complex of underground structures, consisting of three churches, a chapel and a cell, connected by long passages. The uniqueness of this dungeon is that it is built in 4 tiers, located one above the other.

Chernihiv is a city with an ancient history.

Svyatogorsk

This small town in the north of the Donetsk region has grown around the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra. The shrine was built on the slope of a chalk mountain on the banks of the Seversky Donets. This unique feature makes the shrine interesting not only for believers, but also for ordinary tourists.

Better to go to Svyatogorsk in the fall.

In Soviet times, a monument made by Ivan Kavaleridze in the style of cubism was erected on the top of Svyatogorsk hill. It is dedicated to the Bolshevik revolutionary Artem. The monument is 9-storey high and weighs over 800 tons.

However, this is not even the main feature of the city. Svyatogorsk is an incredible coniferous and mixed forest with many paths for tourists. Here you take a break from the city noise and are filled with the healing power of nature. And in the local market, incredibly tasty jam is sold – from cones, mint and roses. Be sure to try this yummy!

Odessa

Those who think that it is worth going to Odessa only in summer has never been here in autumn. But in vain! The city is famous not only for its beautiful Black Sea coastline, but also for its interesting architecture, which is different from anything you have seen before.

Odessa is a lot of interesting locations.

It is difficult to choose the main attraction of the “pearls by the sea”, because each of them has its own characteristics. The opera will surprise you with incredible luxury, skillful stucco molding and exquisite forms. Deribasovskaya will delight you with the atmosphere of nightlife, many cafes, shops, street musicians, artists … Vorontsov Palace – exquisite exteriors and some antique correctness of lines. And these are just the central objects.

The Odessa Opera is a work of architectural art.

What about a flat house? Or the Wax Museum? Odessa is much more multifaceted than it seems at first glance.
