Cher has responded to rumors that she’s dating music producer Alexander Edwards, who is 40 years her junior.
Rumors of the ‘Believe’ singer’s affair with the executive of Def Jam production house started circulating when they were photographed leaving a club hand in hand last week.

The singer confirmed the relationship on Nov. 5 by posting a picture of her new boyfriend on Twitter with a heart emoji.
When a netizen asked her if the photo was of her “new man,” she simply replied with a love emoji. And when another fan wrote that she had better treat her “like the queen that she is,” she replied, “LIKE ONE (crown emoji).”
Other users have criticized the couple for the age difference, Cher is 76 years old while Alexander Edwards is 36.

“I’m not trying to defend us,” he tweeted on Sunday. That the critics criticize… It doesn’t matter and it doesn’t bother anyone.”
Cher also took aim at a user who questioned Alexander Edwards’ “motives and intentions,” writing, “You have nothing else to do! Let me explain… I don’t give a damn what people think.
“On paper, it looks weird (even to ME). AE (Alexander Edwards) says love knows no math,” he wrote on Twitter.
Cher was previously married to Sonny Bono from 1964 to 1975 and Gregg Allman from 1975 to 1979. She has also dated Warren Beatty, David Geffen, Richie Sambora, Val Kilmer and Tom Cruise.
Alexander Edwards has been dating model Amber Rose, with whom he has a three-year-old son named Slash.
