Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan win Chinese badminton women’s doubles final at Paris Olympics

PARIS, Aug. 3 (Xinhua) — Top seeds Chen Qingchen and Jia Yifan of China claimed the gold medal in badminton women’s doubles at the Paris Olympic Games by beating compatriots Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning 22-20, 21-15 in the final on Saturday.

Earlier, Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida of Japan won the bronze medal by defeating Pearly Tan and Muralitharan Thinaah of Malaysia 21-11, 21-11.
