Chemnitz (dpa/sn) – Chemnitz University of Technology will become a scientific partner of the German Ski Association. Therefore, a professor of sports medicine and sports medicine at the Institute of Applied Movement Sciences will work with the association to further develop Nordic skiing and especially cross-country skiing, as name the university. The ski association contributes financially to the scientific staff. In particular, it includes research projects in the fields of training science, performance and competition judgment as well as the use of technologies in everyday training.
The first joint projects are expected to begin this fall. The projects are mainly managed and coordinated by Jacob Walther, who has been the research assistant of the Professor in Sports Medicine and Sports Medicine since July this year and ‘ could mark several years of work as national U23 coach in Norway.
