Works council chairman overwhelmed by the approval
The Chairman of the Works Council of the Chemnitz branch Christian Wehner was visibly moved by the solidarity of many Chemnitz customers and employees and said in the MDR SACHSENSPIEGEL interview:
–
It is simply overwhelming what is happening here in Chemnitz. That of course gives us hope and courage to keep fighting. We try to make the best of it. Hope dies last.

Andrea Busch from Verdi was also optimistic: “It gives me a lot of courage. The cohesion of the Chemnitz company is really great. I hope that we can stay here, that this branch will be preserved.” She wants to wait and see whether the demonstration is effective. She couldn’t understand the decision to close the Chemnitz branch.

A lease has been signed here for the next ten years. The closure is very bad for us. We fight until the end.
