Sevilla center-back Jules Koundé has already chosen a new destination for next season, Chelsea.
According to the specialized journalist Fabrizio Romano, the French player would have already reached an agreement with the ‘blue’ club to visit London. In principle, the contract that would tie the entity would be for five years, until 2026, conditions that the central would have accepted.
The negotiations have gone very fast, since in the last hours the contacts between the club and the player were known. Koundé was the main objective of Thomas Tuchel for the next campaign and the current Champions League champions had already shown interest in him at the start of the market, but it was not until the last hours that they have really launched themselves for the footballer .

The promising French defender has shone with his own light in his second season in Nervión, where he arrived in the summer of 2019 in exchange for 25 million euros from Girondins de Bordeaux. The undisputed starter for Julen Lopetegui, his versatility – he can play both as a central defender and as a right-winger – and good work alongside the Brazilian Diego Carlos led him to be called up by Didier Deschamps for Euro 2020 and to be in the crosshairs of some of European giants such as Manchester City, Manchester United or Chelsea, who will now have to agree their starting price with Sevilla.
Koundé, only 22 years old, would thus become the first reinforcement of the team led by Thomas Tuchel, who arrived at Stamford Bridge midway through the 2020-21 season and led Chelsea to the second Champions League in their history after beating the Manchester City (0-1) in the Porto final.
The former Paris Saint-Germain coach, who usually plays with a defense of three centrals, already has Zouma, Christensen, Rüdiger and veteran Thiago Silva, in addition to the versatile César Azpilicueta and Reece James, to whom also uses ‘blue’ on the rear axle.
